![]() ![]() ![]() You are not going to find us in an office. We take pride in making our food, sauces, and desserts from scratch and the fact that our restaurant is family owned and operated. Our favorite part of the day is seeing our customers enjoy our smokehouse goods and chatting with them. We absolutely love being apart of the Durand community and supporting the surrounding areas. In December 2021 our restaurant was completely finished and ready to welcome the Durand community through it’s doors once again. During the spring, summer, and fall of 2021 we used the food trailer as our kitchen and our patio as our dining room to continue to employ our staff and provide our customers with their favorite smokehouse meals. We had employees and customers relying on us, so we purchased a food trailer. That fire destroyed our kitchen and severely damaged the rest of our smokehouse, but if the pandemic taught us anything it was that we had to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and think outside the box. Since then we have not just survived, BUT THRIVED, through a pandemic in 2020 and a fire that started when an electrical surge blew up our breaker box during a snowstorm in February 2021. We purchased the restaurant in the summer of 2018 and reopened it by November. The garage ran till 2012 and then was shut down and remodeled into a smokehouse in 2016, and Union Station Smokehouse was born. Franks Service Center ran until being sold to Mike Malachowski who renamed the shop to Lucky’s Last Chance Garage. In 1947 Frank Blount began operations for a small gas station and auto shop at 205 East Main St. ![]()
